Hi, i've been workins as ALS team and from 2024 we've started the ECMO protocols for EMS, I was wondering, Could it be replicated in the game such as cardiac arrest?

Actually, we are doing ALCS and run.

When we he have a cardiac arrest in EMS, BLS and ALS unti go to the scene, do the usual ACLS protocol but, if there is no rosc, the patient age is under 70 years, no patologies and no aortic problems, we must take the patient, whinin 60 min from the call, to the nearest ecmo center (which usually is a cardiac surgery) to start ECMO in hospital.

In the best case, we can save the patien, in the worst case, we can do organ donation.

This protocol require a good cooperation between BLS, ALS and Control Center to handle the call because if the distance between scene and hospital is important, we need HEMS.
