    • Warum wohl keine Reaktion?

    • In this jurisdiction, there are only 2 hospitals. I have recreated the hospital system as accurately as possible because in reality, patients get transported to many different hospitals, depending on their injuries.

The large watch area over Silver Spring exists for radio coverage for Montgomery County units assisting Anne Arundel County. The area was given 0 weight to prevent calls from spawning there.

I have included "Pre-Alert" stations for neighboring jurisdictions (outside of the watch areas). They enable the player to see if a neighboring jurisdiction's unit is closer than an Anne Arundel County unit. It also helps to see which neighboring jurisdictions' stations are close when dispatching units on large incidents. They show up in the dispatch console as "__[Jurisdiction] [Station #] Pre-Alert". These are used in the real world to alert neighboring jurisdictions of mutual aid calls.

Most units are 24-hour vehicles and adding the individual shifts would be very tedious. Does this need to be simulated?

The numbers in front of the POIs help players know which station is closest (e.g., [27] Maryland City Elementary School is closest to Station 27). The geography of Anne Arundel county is weird in some places and in many places, the closest station is not necessarily the closest straight-line distance. In the real world, units are dispatched based on driving time, so this is why it is included.

The numbers in front of hospitals ([H###]) are the Maryland Institute for EMS Services hospital numbers, used in the real world.

The simulation does not apply directly (one-to-one) with the American system so I have included "Ambulances" as KTW units because they transport less serious patients. The "Medic" units in Anne Arundel County are for more serious patients and are RTW. In reality, there is no distinction between RTW (Medics) and NAW (Paramedics) in Anne Arundel County.
